InMode® BodyTite™: It Sounds Too Good to be True
Many people struggle with stubborn areas of fat or loose skin that do not respond to diet and exercise. Fortunately, surgery is no longer the only solution. Enter: BodyTite by InMode, a radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis that delivers significant results without the intensity of a traditional operating room experience.
At Best Impression Med Spa, Robert Mirabile, MD, and Dr. Vivian M. Hsu have helped countless patients achieve their ideal physique with BodyTite by InMode.
Here, they explain how the process works.
Radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis 101
During the procedure, a thin probe is inserted under the skin while an electrode passes over the surface. This creates a focused thermal field. The heat does two things at once. It liquefies fat cells for easy removal and causes the skin fibers to contract. This dual action results in simultaneous fat reduction and skin tightening.
The system has built-in temperature monitors to ensure the skin is never overheated. This provides a level of safety that older heat-based treatments lacked. We can target specific areas, such as the abdomen, thighs, arms, or even the chin, with great precision.
What areas can InMode Body Tite address?
InMode® BodyTite™ is highly versatile because it uses a specialized handheld device that can target both large and small areas with precision.
At Best Impression Med Spa in Blue Bell, we commonly treat the following areas:
- Abdomen: Ideal for patients with stubborn belly fat and mild skin laxity.
- Arms: BodyTite can reduce fat in the upper arms (“bat wings”) and tighten the hanging skin that exercise alone often can’t.
- Thighs: We can treat both the inner and outer thighs to create a more contoured, toned leg profile and reduce the appearance of sagging.
- Flanks and hips: Commonly known as love handles, these areas respond well to the radiofrequency energy.
- Buttocks: It can help firm the lower buttock region, where the skin tends to sag.
- Knees: The skin around the knees is thin and prone to "crepiness." BodyTite can remove small fat deposits and tighten this delicate skin.
- Chest: For men with excess fatty tissue and mild skin laxity (often associated with gynecomastia), BodyTite provides a firmer chest contour.
If you have a specific area of concern that isn't listed here, our experts can evaluate whether you are a candidate during a consultation.
What to expect during the healing process
Because this is a minimally invasive procedure, the recovery is much shorter than surgery. Most patients experience some swelling and bruising for a week or two. You will likely wear a compression garment to support the area as it heals.
Downtime is only a few days. The results are not instant because it takes time for the body to produce new collagen in response to the heat. You will see initial changes quickly, but the full tightening effect usually peaks at six months.
The results
BodyTite can achieve up to 35% skin contraction. This treatment is ideal for those with moderate skin laxity who want to avoid large scars. Studies show that this technology provides a safe and effective alternative for body contouring with high patient satisfaction.
